Jon Cohen

CEO

With more than 15 years in the property management field, Mr. Cohen delivers a great deal of experience leading the team at Boston Property Management. Mr. Cohen oversees all of the daily responsibilities of running the property management team as well as interacting with the portfolio of clients. Mr. Cohen strives to ensure that all of the portfolio properties and associations are performing optimally and continually looking for ways to improve operations and service to benefit the end user. Mr. Cohen began his career in the property management field with his own firm, where he successfully managed ten distinct multi-family properties throughout Greater Boston. Through dedication and hard work, Mr. Cohen, through Boston Property Management, now oversees a portfolio of more than 900 units with an asset value in excess of $250 million.

As CEO of Boston Property Management, Mr. Cohen is involved in all of the day to day operations; including marketing, staffing, budgeting, field work supervision and fiscal oversight. Mr. Cohen’s focus is to apply his experience to provide a product that sets the standard for the industry and to continue to look for ways to expand their service platform.

Jon graduated from Northeastern University in 2003 with a dual major in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Kayla Arons

Director of Finance & Controller

Kayla Arons is the Director of Finance & Controller for Boston Property Management. After receiving her degree in Business Administration from UMASS Amherst in 2015, Kayla began her career in accounting at a small real estate development firm.

In her current role, Kayla oversees the day to day financials for all of our portfolio properties. She prepares monthly and annual reporting packages, handles year-end tax preparation, and assists with new property acquisitions.

Maren Heise

Managing Director of PM

Since joining Boston Property Management in 2009, Maren has developed significant experience in all facets of the real estate market. As the managing director of property management Maren is reporting directly to the President. In her position she is an intermediary between the accounting department as well as the maintenance team and is coaching staff to ensure best industry standards are being implemented and kept. Maren is always looking into maximizing revenue, minimizing operating expenses and following all company policies and procedures. Maren is an expert in the onboarding of new investors and can individualize reports and processes to the unique requirements.

After graduating from Frankfurt University in Germany, with an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources, Maren gained valuable corporate experience in various roles in Europe and the United States. In her spare time Maren enjoys traveling and being involved in the Quincy school system as well as the neighborhood association.

Manny Pereira

Regional Maintenance Manager North Shore

Flavio Pereira, who goes by Manny, lives in the North Shore. With his 15+ years of experience in maintenance he is a great addition for BPM to manage the North Shore.

Jim Shea

Regional Maintenance Manager South Shore

Meet Jim Shea, our go-to guy for all things maintenance-related in the South Shore region. With over a decade of experience under his belt, Jim has earned the role of Regional Maintenance Manager for the South Shore at Boston Property Management.

His expertise spans the entire spectrum of maintenance operations, from budgeting to negotiating contracts with vendors. Previously, Jim served as a multi-site senior service manager, effortlessly juggling responsibilities across numerous buildings simultaneously.

Jim’s journey into the world of maintenance began early on, as he completed high school with a carpentry degree. He has since expanded his skill set, passing tests in plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems as well as the general contractor certification.

Originally from the South Shore, Jim ventured abroad to Europe, where he pursued a career as a professional ice hockey player. Since his return he is living with his family in Weymouth and bringing his sport and maintenance experience to the local community.

Bryan Lowe

Portfolio Manager

Bryan Lowe is a seasoned real estate professional with a profound affinity for the Boston market, rooted in his upbringing in Massachusetts. A graduate of Xavierian Brothers High School and UMASS Amherst, Bryan embarked on his professional journey in the vibrant city of Boston, where he swiftly immersed himself in the realm of property management.

Starting as an assistant property manager with Boston Property Management, Bryan’s exceptional dedication and aptitude propelled him to ascend the ranks, earning him the position of property manager in record time. Eager to broaden his expertise and gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry, Bryan transitioned to the maintenance department, assuming the role of regional manager for the South Shore.

With a relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to continuous growth, Bryan’s career trajectory led him to his current role as a portfolio manager for BPM. In this capacity, he orchestrates a team of specialists with finesse, leveraging his extensive experience and comprehensive knowledge to drive success and deliver unparalleled service to clients.

Bryan’s unwavering passion for property management, coupled with his proven track record of leadership and proficiency, distinguishes him as a formidable presence in the field, poised to navigate the complexities of property management with expertise and integrity.

Lara Tinari

Property Manager

Lara Tinari is a dynamic professional with a multifaceted role in the real estate industry. As a Licensed Real Estate Agent and previous experience as director of sales and leasing Lara brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her current position as property manager.

With a focus on delivering exceptional client-based services, Lara ensures the highest standards of professionalism and expertise. Her leadership and guidance empower her team to excel in their roles, driving results and exceeding client expectations.

Throughout her extensive real estate and property management career, Lara has established a track record of success built on her hands-on approach and dedication to fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. From sellers and buyers to landlords and tenants, Lara leverages her exceptional interpersonal communication skills to navigate transactions seamlessly from start to finish. Notably, Lara’s experience of having lived abroad in many different places has equipped her with a unique ability to relate to tenants from diverse backgrounds, further enhancing her capacity to deliver tailored and empathetic service.

Maribel Fontanez

Tenant Specialist

Maribel Fontanez joined Boston Property Management in 2021 as an assistant property manager. With over 10 years of experience in property management, she has extensive knowledge and a passion for the industry. In  2023 she was promoted to a tenant specialist. It has given her the opportunity to learn the legal aspect of property management and become very familiar with the RAFT program.  Maribel has worked with both residential and commercial properties throughout Greater Boston areas. Tenants value that Maribel strives to ensure a thorough and seamless experience for them.

Mayrelli Martinez

Tenant Specialist

Mayrelli Martinez’ journey from her roots in Roslindale, MA to becoming a valued resident of the South Shore area spans over a decade. Six years ago, she embarked on her career in real estate, a decision she has never regretted. She joined the Boston Property Management team in early 2024 as an assistant property manager. Due to her wealth of experience, particularly in Raft and voucher programs she was promoted to Tenant Specialist for the South Shore. Her role involves overseeing all tenant communication, rent increases and managing the application process for her portfolio with precision and dedication.

Originally hailing from the Dominican Republic, Mayrelli’s fluency in Spanish adds another dimension to her professional repertoire. She finds joy in the warm climate of her current home and embraces her cultural heritage with pride.

Outside of work, Mayrelli’s interests are as diverse as her background. She loves traveling, exploring new cuisines through cooking, and staying active with fitness pursuits. Additionally, she is deeply involved in her community as a Mobile Notary, providing valuable services, and actively participates in her local church. Mayrelli’s multifaceted interests and commitment to service reflect her vibrant personality and dedication to making a positive impact wherever she goes.

Antz Simon

Tenant Specialist

Antz Simon is a versatile real estate professional with many years of experience. After graduating from Salem State University, he began his career as a mortgage loan originator. In 2018, he expanded his expertise by earning his real estate license, gaining valuable insights from a new perspective. His passion for learning and growth led him to property management, where he has contributed to several property management firms.

Driven by his deep interest in real estate, Antz is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in real estate. He is now thriving in his role as a tenant specialist, fully embracing the opportunities it presents.

Nancy Crossen

Assistant Property Manager

Nancy joined Boston Property Management in January of 2021. Since joining the company, she continues to develop her knowledge in all areas of real estate.

Nancy has worked with our residents in daily communications and rent collections and guarantees that each tenant’s individual needs are met. She has developed a knowledge base of both market and subsidized units and has a strong relationship with all the housing agencies in the Metro Boston area. Currently Nancy focuses on rent collection and works closely with brokers and housing on placing new tenants in our apartments.

Nancy studied Hospitality Management at Johnson & Wales University and has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality and customer service field.

LaKeya Rochelle

Assistant Property Manager

LaKeya Rochelle brings a wealth of experience to her role as an Assistant Property Manager at Boston Property Management, having joined the team in early 2024. With a background marked by strong customer service skills, diplomacy, and patience, Lakeya is known for her ability to build rapport and effectively address concerns.

With over 20 years of experience, Lakeya has refined her multitasking abilities and organizational skills, consistently managing several assignments with precision. She is a strong team player, self-starter, and quick learner, qualities that have enabled her to thrive in dynamic work environments.

LaKeya’s outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, further enhance her ability to connect with clients and colleagues alike. Her dedication to excellence and problem-solving acumen make her a valuable asset to the Boston Property Management team, poised to contribute positively to its success.

Carmaïssa Etienne

Administrative Assistant

Carmaïssa Etienne serves as the Administrative Assistant for the North Shore region, bringing a wealth of diverse skills and experiences to the role. Originally from Haiti, Carmaïssa’s multicultural background and fluency in French, Haitian Creole, and English have proven to be irreplaceable assets, reflecting her ability to adapt and learn quickly.

 Currently Carmaïssa is pursuing a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing at Bridgewater State University. Balancing rigorous academic assignments with a dedicated work commitments highlights her exceptional organizational skills and her capacity to manage multiple tasks with precision and professionalism—qualities she applies diligently in supporting property managers and tenant specialists. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Carmaïssa enjoys writing novels, blog posts, journaling her thoughts, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Carla Barbosa joined BPM in 2023 as our receptionist.

Raymond Hunt

Sr. Property Accountant

Raymond joined Boston Property Management in 2021 as a Junior Accountant. He was born and raised on the south shore where he currently lives with his growing family. While working in the automotive industry, Ray received his bachelor’s degree in general management with a minor in Accounting and Finance from Bridgewater State University in 2008 and is currently working towards an MBA Degree. Ray as over 15 years of sales, management, and accounting experience in both retail and automotive industries.

As a Property Accountant, Ray oversees accounting and finances for several properties as well as manages vendor billing and assists with payables.

Jennifer Steiner

Jennifer Steiner joined in BPM in 2022.

Iryna Queiros

Property Accountant

Iryna Queiros joined Boston Property Management in 2022. As a Property Accountant, Iryna oversees accounting and finances for several properties.

Reni Drijaj

Financial Analyst

Reni Drijaj joined Boston Property Management in November 2023 as an Assistant Property Accountant and was swiftly promoted to Financial Analyst in March 2024. With a solid foundation in finance and a diverse international background, Reni brings a unique perspective to the team.

Born in Albania and raised in Italy, Reni’s academic journey began at the Università di Genova, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in 2021, specializing in financial markets and institutions. He furthered his education with a Master of Finance at Hult International Business School’s Boston campus, graduating in 2023.

Reni’s move to the U.S. was driven by his ambition to enhance his career in finance while leveraging his international experience. His fluency in Italian, Albanian, and English, along with advanced proficiency in Spanish, adds valuable linguistic skills to his professional toolkit.

Outside of his professional life, Reni enjoys cooking and often hosts friends and family, blending his love for food with his vibrant cultural heritage.

Inna Holosinska

Maintenance Billing Specialist

Inna Holosinska was born and raised in the Ukraine, where she got a degree in programing. After moving to US, she found her passion in working with people and went back to school for business management. Inna believes in value of customer service, and she enjoys working on making tenants happy. Outside of work Inna enjoys reading books, exercising and traveling.

Diksha Goyal

AP Specialist

Diksha Goyal joined Boston Property Management in 2024 as an AP Specialist. She is a recent graduate of Babson College, where she earned her degree with a distinguished record of academic and extracurricular accomplishments. At Babson she was the Vice President of the Tech Club and contributed to the Leadership Lab and TEDx2024, underscoring her commitment to innovation and personal growth.

 Before Babson, Diksha gained valuable experience in the financial sector with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, specializing in the GMO line of business. Her work in these prominent institutions honed her expertise in financial analysis and strategic problem-solving, equipping her with a keen aptitude for numbers and a passion for optimizing processes.

 Originally from India, Diksha brings a rich international perspective to her professional endeavors. Outside of her career, she enjoys chess and finds joy in traveling with friends and family, embracing new cultures and culinary experiences. Her diverse interests and experiences reflect a well-rounded individual dedicated to both professional excellence and personal enrichment.

Karen Williams

In-house Real Estate Agent

Karen Williams is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. She studied Business Administration at Eastern Nazarene College and proceeded to work as a Financial Aid Adviser for over 15 years at The New England Institute of Art. Karen worked with students and families to determine how to finance their entire college education. Assisting people to accomplish their dreams and goals has always given her great joy, which is the primary reason she decided to become a Licensed Realtor. As an agent her client’s needs and concerns are her number one priority. Karen is very familiar with all housing voucher and RAFT programs.

Kareen Williams

In-house Real Estate Agent

After studying at the Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Kareen Williams spent the next 15+ years as a financial aid coordinator at The New England institute of Art and Toni & Guy Hair Academy. Being a landlord herself ignited her passion for real estate and she obtained her license in 2017. Kareen enjoys meeting new people and her main priorities are to have happy, satisfied clients and she is dedicated to exceeding their expectation. Kareen has the ability to help buyers, sellers, and renters realize their real estate goals by providing the information and guidance they need.
